Your eyebrows are an important feature of your face.

Hear me out! I read this great article over the weekend from HouseBeautiful and though I already knew what they were saying, I was laughing with the way they presented it. And it’s SOOO true!!

Ok, so let’s start with any project. We’ve gotten through the furniture portion of the design, the fabrics are sourced for the gorgeous pillows, the patterns have been selected for the ottomans, etc. The final detail item comes up - the window treatments…..dun dun dun!!!!

Let’s stop here for a minute. WE KNOW. Window treatments are an expensive investment. In our area of the states, they can run all the way up to 10k a room (and that’s a moderate price!). But any professional interior designer will agree: you can’t NOT install them. The room is simply not finished without window treatments.

Here we go: window treatments are like the eyebrows on your face - you may not notice them on their own, but they frame the room so perfectly, just like the eyebrows frame each feature of your face! What would you look like without eyebrows?! Eek!

The rooms are EXACTLY the same in terms of decor (furniture, accesories, lighting, styling, etc. But the second picture is so much warmer and soft because of the added texture brought in by the woven woods and soft drapery fabric. How can you disagree?!

Hear us loud and hear us proud: THE ROOM IS NOT COMPLETE UNTIL THE WINDOW TREATMENTS ARE INSTALLED! We cannot say this enough.

Can you imagine some of these projects without window treatments?!

Unless you’re willing to shave the eyebrows off your face, don’t argue with your Interior Designer about window treatments 😛 If you’re investing in the designer to begin with, don’t skimp out on the final details!

(Disclaimer: the Bee’s do not recommend shaving your eyebrows. Please don’t.) And for those who live in architecturally splendid structures, along the lines of Frank Lloyd Wright, okay, you get a pass!
